Shoutout to #FediMeteo @admin and @stefano for the #RSS and #ActivityPub #federated #weather service. Finally, a reliable weather tool across platforms.
A week or so ago I reached out and they added my community. Every time the new weather report post or RSS feed comes through, I appreciate it so much.

Does anyone have a shared RSS reader / sync service set up with their (software development) team? The idea being that the team members add blogs they find beneficial to the team's work.
I started thinking about this today in the bus to home and I'd love to work in such a team one day.

I hate it when someone announces a podcast that they're doing that looks interesting, but when I look into it there's no RSS feed, and it's just on YouTube/Spotify/another closed platform
It's my crochety, but very firm opinion that it's not a real podcast if there's no RSS. Switching to AntennaPod has been very nice — the interface only gives me what I need and nobody's trying to advertise anything to me — and it also makes it glaringly obvious when something doesn't have a proper RSS feed
I heard on this "The Vergecast" episode (https://www.theverge.com/c/24238422/podcast-etymology-term-history-tech-vergecast) that YouTube is becoming the most popular podcast platform, and that worries me for the openness of the medium

A little surprising to me that #Thunderbird #Mobile doesn't have the same #RSS features as the desktop.
I've been using RSS a lot more lately - after quite some time away - and have enjoyed having RSS feeds right in Thunderbird, alongside everything else.
Not a big dealbreaker but a bummer.
I've seen more people advocating for wider RSS adoption lately.
I was a heavy RSS user back in the day, but honestly, it’s a standard that struggles to keep up with modern demands.

Had it not been for RSS, I would have completely missed out their return to blogging.

Heavy preferences:
- An app that support MacOS and iOS
- Syncs via iCloud
- Doesn’t require creating an account for the app.
