The 11yo completed another circuit around the sun and will now be referred to as the 12yo.
To celebrate we went to The Silo Restaurant in Lake Bluff, Illinois, USA. The Silo has the dubious honor of being the last restaurant we went to before COVID lockdown exactly 5 years ago. This was our first visit since. They have great tavern style #pizza! 🍕

Papa Johns has the best tasting fast-food pizza. People always say Pizza Hut is better or Heaven forbid say the same about Dominos. But they're saying that because you're paying slightly less for the pizza. I mean, I'll grant that Papa Johns is expensive and you'll be paying $70 for your pizza if you deliver. But you'll be paying $70 on something that actually tastes good rather than complete shit like Dominos or passable and filling like Pizza Hut. Better ingredients, better pizza. Makes sense to me, it should to you even if you're paying more for it. #pizza #food
