More free wood chip. The primary school down the road were having all their hawthorn trees chopped back. I asked the tree surgeons if they could drop it off on the driveway and they were only too happy to do so.
It will be ferried up to the allotments for mulching the pathways on plots. #Gardening #NoDig #Recycling
We had some actual sunshine today. I turned the compost, started a second heap, finally weeded the raspberry beds and added more fresh sawdust to the pathways. #GrowYourOwn #HomeGrown #NoDig #Allotment #Gardening #Compost
Upcoming jobs before spring are to clear the overgrown front half plot and tidy up and re-lay a hedge along the boundary to the nature reserve. #GrowYourOwn #HomeGrown #NoDig #Gardening #Allotment
Nice sunny day for adding some fresh sawdust to the allotment paths. #NoDig #GrowYourOwn #Gardening #Allotment
A while ago I promised to do a writeup about #garlic growing. Here it is:

A productive couple of hours spent up the allotment. The first go at weeding the raspberry beds and adding it all to the compost heap.

The over wintering field beans and broad beans were sown today. The beds inside the fencing will be for harvesting. The other beds are for green manures or may just feed the mice or the muntjac.
The other green manures are doing well, cycling nutrients, feeding the soil biology and improving the soil and water infiltration.

The Chinese and Japanese leafy greens are growing nicely for harvests through autumn and winter.

Hi all, Joining this platform as a place to share my gardening journey. I will be starting my garden from scratch after moving house this winter, and will be following organic, no-dig gardening principles. I'd love to connect with others that are on the same journey, so please say hi below and feel free to recommend others I should follow!
#introduction work on progressive local economic development and #communitywealthbuidling. I live in #Ceredigion in rural West Wales. Learning #cymraeg #SaySomethingInWelsh. Have a #nodig #vegetable garden #CharlesDowding method. Interests include #nature #biodiversity #cooperation #growing #walking #hiking. Terrified by the #climate and nature emergencies. Trying and failing to free myself from global capital and corporations, to live more kindly and more in balance with nature
Brought the #garlic in this morning. It's hung up in a spare room for the next two weeks. It will then be ready for storage and should last until very nearly next year's #harvest.
