I have discovered my councils #public right of #way #map: https://access.monmouthshire.gov.uk/StandardMap.aspx so I've confirmed the block paths I surveyed last week should be cleared and made accessible while also making sure #openstreetmap is correctly reflecting the navigation state.
@stsquad Cool. Am I understanding you right that you saw obstructions in the real world on a path that should be free according to that map? Very interesting. Quickly comparing that map to #OSM data around Wonastow, I am surprised that OSM even lacks some of the paths. Very unfortunate that there was no import of this data into OSM 🙄

@dzu yep - of course there are more paths you can walk that are not registered public rights of way but are marked national park trails. I need to learn about the different tagging required. I think the rules are slightly different.
