During walk into Bremen from the Hauptbahnhof we saw a large #MOIN sign: it’s northern dialect for Morgen | morning & Bremen makes a catchphrase of it (📷1). The local sense of humour was also evident at festive pedestrian crossings (📷2). St Petri Dom | Bremen Cathedral stands on the site of a wooden church built c. 789 CE & lasting only 3 yrs (📷3); Saxons burned it. Facing Altes Rathaus on the Marktplatz, 16th C. Schütting was built as a guild house (📷4); rebuilt 1956.
