My Daddy was born in Ohio, lived, worked, and died in the mountains of Wise County, Old King Coal country, Big Stone Gap, Virginia — so I've seen first-hand how politicians gaslight mountain folk, convince them they're to blame for their own pain.

It's no surprise when I see Trump and his cronies ‘weaponize’ pride and shame to manipulate white Appalachian and Rural Voters because nothing shames poor whites more than being treated just like Black and Brown people.
