Thanks to Saoirse Ronan blitz pr's. re-watching Lady Bird & oi Greta's script is a stealthy lesson to adapt short stories (not just 1 story).
The script is 3 YA shorts in one (romance, friendship & parental). The trick was to break each one into perfect vignette scenes that are braided along to make them progress like one cohesive movie
(The scenes are real short aren't they? but think of them like vignettes & i understood why they work. they are complete in themselves)
