Since we just went apple picking I decided to try to shoot an apple with an arrow. I learned that this is a bad idea in 4 ways.
1: obviously it's hard. An apple is a small target.
2: it's very hard to put an apple on a sandbag and not have it roll off as soon as an arrow jostles the sandbag
3: even if you hit it dead on, the apple breaks apart and the arrow goes straight through, so you don't get the Hollywood photo
4: now I have to go clean sticky apple juice off my arrows
