Until now, the only people who have been able to benefit from having intelligences doing all the boring jobs for them have been those individuals who are relatively rich and powerful.

#AI as a foundational technology really does have the longterm *potential* to allow everyone on Earth to have those same benefits and that same quality of life: automating work we don't want to do, boosting science in every field, and solving #SDGs.

We (all of us) just need to fight back against the rich and powerful who are seeking to keep and strengthen their current advantages by moving more and more of our future infrastructure under their control and surveillance. Anybody obsessed with infinite growth is a suspect.
