I hope it will take off now. We've been holding back the adoption of device-bound passkeys due to iOS limitations (multiple third party password managers), which have been fixed in iOS 18.

@jtig indeed I believe passkeys are our best chance to move everyone at least a bit further towards being more secure
@JefTek Me too! It's great for more controlled environments. Can't wait to roll this out to my clients, so we can work with phishing resistent authentication.
But for consumers, I am not sure if passkeys are the future. Phones get lost, and users will switch platforms, but their credentials will be gone if that happens. Passwords and emailed login links will still work regardless (not happy about it, but it is the reality for now)
