This is a high contrast black and white street photo of some Chinese paper lanterns rendered jet black and hanging outside an old colonial building in Singapore. On the left and right of the lanterns are two hanging lines of small cylindrical tubes. The left lanterns consist of a larger cylindrical with a slightly smaller one beneath it. In the centre are three spherical paper lanterns the largest one on the top with each one below being slightly smaller, each lantern having a floral design painted on the surface. On the right are two large spherical lanterns the upper one being the larger. Above all of these is a floral decoration. Behind is the white facade of a historic colonial building with some of the windows and shutters in view.
