Certainly understand blaming these low information voters for not being able to see through the disinformation, but we need to realize that they are targeted victims of sophisticated and tested psy-ops campaigns.
Another good example is the Biden Gaza campaign targeting well intentioned young people. Rather than simply paint them as naive, as tempting as it may be to do so, it is important to understand they were targets of multifacited psy-ops warfare tactics.
Going forward we need to be smarter about psycological warfare. We need to identify specific psy-ops narratives early, expose them and attack them aggressively.
Right now, if you look at the cesspool of YouTube comments (not recommended!) there's a very specific narrative the Zelensky meeting was going well until Zelenski out of the blue was rude. This is being repeated ad nauseum, and as false as we know this to be, it is the disinformation a low information person is receiving.
I was just think8ng this morning of the need for a "citizens army" to combat disinformation on-line right now. Say, young people with knowledge of TikTok monitoring that platform, millennials watching threads, boomers watching Facebook, etc. If there was some group that coukd organ8ze it like @indivisibleteam or @LincolnProject or @dnc.... of course only Indivisible is on Mastodon....
