So much for not having ads on Mastodon; we're currently seeing an increased activity from users not tagged as bots offering sketchy promotions and a link to buy discounted stuff.
In case you'd trip in one of these fellas by a direct contact or by seeing one in the wild (the local/federated timeline) remember to press your report button and alert your moderation team peeps
