@cliffwade I see. I use my website for many things. I find it easier that way. Otherwise I feel that I spread too thin...
@haikushack I've thought about it, but I don't really have a theme that displays photos the way I'd really want them to look.
@cliffwade I understand. It's just that I like owning my space rather than relying on third-party websites. But Vernissage looks interesting! Why did you leave Pixelfed, if I may ask?
@haikushack Because of the developer and how he down/bad mouths people, downs other developers, has public melt downs constantly, claims everything to be open source when it's not. Lots of information on him can be Googled and you'd be shocked to see what you find.
@cliffwade Thank you for sharing! I stopped using Pixelfed a few months ago, but I'm definitely interested in new platforms to display my work beside my website.

I too am always looking for good places to share my stuff. I'd love to have my photos on my site and maybe that's what I need to look into.

@cliffwade I usually write poetry (especially haiku) based on my photos and paintings. But I also have a portfolio page.
@haikushack WOW! As in WOW to the the way they look on the site, but also the quality of photos. I wish I could be that good at photography.
Is that just a page on your website and is your website WordPress or something similar? I believe it's WordPress, so I'm curious if the theme does that or if it's some plugin that you use?

I have used WP self-hosted for 20+ years now. I couldn't use anything else. And I tweaked the theme very slightly, but since it's free, I can only do so much.

I'll definitely need to play around with the gallery on my SeerOfSouls.com website and see what I can come up with.
