@faab64 The big difference is that Israel is no threat to the US, while Russia is a great threat. If Israel were a threat to the US, it would doubtless support Palestinians so that they could put their lives on the line against the US enemy (much as Ukraine has been doing). Trump has sure thrown things in disorder, though.

@faab64 Please don't be sick. I'm not whitewashing anything. I am arguing that the Palestinians have nothing to offer the US, so the US does not care about them in any meaningful way. Ukraine has something to offer the US (at least in the pre-Trump era), so the US cares about Ukraine in a meaningful way. Machtpolitik.
