I think the main character is also the director. Is this a passion project?! He needs a different passion because this isn't his thing.

Now they're crying about the one dude's dad dying years ago and being angry that the other one couldn't make the funeral

Now back to the base with the same 20 Japanese soldiers running around and a few American soldiers being legends.

The fighting priest is laying down some big spiritual thoughts and the one dude is pushing back. Oh now we're getting some Bible verses.

The watch the one guy is wearing is a pretty modern analog time piece and it's completely clean and scuff free

The boxer is getting to box Japanese troops now while the priest is bayoneting everyone

Now the other friend is boxing too

Oh now he's using his head to bash in a dudes head wuuuut

Run priest run didn't get hit by very small bombs from planes that leave no craters!

Big emotional scene with the boxer friend trying to save his bestie who got stabbed

They're out of ammo so that's not good

Seven minutes left in this comedy

Now they're just walking towards the direction of the Japanese carrying some rocks

Oh no just joking it's the Americans who we saw in the first half of the movie at the base including one woman officer who had a flirty scene early in the night with the dude who was stabbed and a woman nurse in a perfect white dress but we saw her get shot and killed in the first half.

Lol the priest put his helmet on and that was the end

How was this movie ever green lit?!

Gotta be the worst script and writing I've seen in a long time.

The actors did their best but they were not given much to work with.

I think most of the Thai cast was having a hard time not laughing in all of their scenes.

Did the banzai assassin even show up again? Maybe he was in one of the waves of the same 20 Thai dudes that got killed over and over and I didn't notice

@mlanger if you go into it treating it as a comedy it's enjoyable.

@douglasvb One of the worst movies I ever saw was "Spaceballs." I know that a lot of people really liked it, including my wasband. I've come to suspect that I just didn't get it and I should probably try watching again. But I just can't bring myself to do it.

@mlanger that movie was a spoof of Star Wars and consumerism. I thought it was pretty funny and campy. Not as good as Blazing Saddles (another Mel Brooks movie) though.

@douglasvb Blazing Saddles was hysterical. I'm not sure if its widespread use of the N-word makes it acceptable these days. It certainly did not put down people of color; I think it put down people who had a problem with people of color.

I definitely remember Spaceballs being a spoof of Star Wars, but not the consumerism part. I guess I should give it another try.😬
