Belated posting - I finished this project in the fall:
We have a new grandson, so I designed and built this crib for him. It's my first time building flat-pack furniture, which involved some interesting challenges.
The panels are made from 6/4 quarter-sawn white oak that I resawed to 1/2" and bookmatched. The legs are 8/4 rift-sawn white oak. The bed slats are made from ash. 1/
To make it flat-packable, I used this morticed bed frame hardware.

This was an interesting find: A slick snap-in connector that can handle about 150 lbs each (with the right fasteners). This allows the bed frame to be adjusted to 3 different heights as the child grows up.
