Reasons I love RSS, #43:
I started my morning by reading through new blog posts and one of them started with:
"It has been almost five years since I last posted to this blog."
Had it not been for RSS, I would have completely missed out their return to blogging.
@hamatti We definitely have different habits on this. From time to time I tend to do some cleaning and the first ones to go are those who haven't posted anything for over one year.
@andreagrandi I basically never remove blogs because they've went silent. Most of the time one gets removed if they post regularly and I find myself skipping their posts constantly.
@andreagrandi Out of curiosity, why do you remove feeds that update rarely?
If they don't post, then they won't show up on the feed so effectively it's pretty much the same as if they were removed. Is there something I'm missing?
