I’m grateful for the fediverse news and news on a personal level (individuals). I appreciate sort of being informed in a global network way, macro and micro… obviously I read news and opinions elsewhere as well, but this is way different than Facebook (which seemed to be very self centered and in a bubble).
That said, when I turn on the radio in the car these days the audio version hits me harder, much like a post-domestic violence trigger. My stomach clenches with disbelief something so obviously wrong, cruel, stupid can actually be happening. I can’t do it. I turn the radio off, and breathe.
