started a #wikipedia article on US pianist and music educator Jean Coston Maloney (1916-1968); she was the first Black guest soloist to play a full concert with the New Orleans Symphony, and played for a non-segregated audience in New Orleans in 1953. One of her students was Ellis Marsalis.

In addition to playing before a non-segregated audience, she was the first colored pianist to play a full concert with the New Orleans Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra as guest soloist. In the audience were bankers, judges, philanthropists, and the cream of New Orleans' society. The concert sponsored by the Beecher Congregational Church, Robert D. Shepard, minister, drew raves from local daily critics."
