So me thinks buying a 200 foot ethernet cable was a really bbad idea because my house is way smaller than that. I want to have a wired connection for my devices but also minimize the chance of people being inconvenienced by the cable if I use that one or get a smaller ethernet cable. Any suggestions as to what I can do to solve this? 200 foot cable can more than reach my router all the way in the living room, but I worry people will trip over the cord while walking around while I have it plugged in to my consoles or PC at any time. #Internet #ethernet #Wired
@LeonianUniverse Wouldn't it have been more sensible just to get a router with a good number of ports, combined with a number of reasonably sized cables? What's the point of having a massive cable if you're constantly moving it from one thing to the next anyway? If it were me, I'd want to find the best solution to insure that all of my devices can remain connected to ethernet all of the time.
@arqeria Your probably right, except its not my router even though I am paying for the net, its my mothers' router so buying my own would be a problem in comparison.
@LeonianUniverse I don't see why. She probably didn't get a very good one anyway.
