Jayzus #RTE Could you not see what a humiliating shitshow of an event that was? Why are you putting this nice spin on Trump humiliating Michéal Martin in front of the world? Starting with the risible ‘the Ireland’ comment, it all went south from there. Trump sat there [while Martin wisely said nothing], insulting all the businesses that are based in Ireland, and effectively threatened mayhem. Sinn Fein made absolutely the correct decision to go nowhere near this US administration and this White House.
No country should send its representatives to the White House to be humiliated on the world stage; it’s clearly what happens there now, unless your name is Putin or Netanyahu.
