MC Lyte - “Woman”, ft. Salt, Big Daddy Kane, Raheem DeVaughn
Been a fan since “Cappuccino”. Her voice is so distinct and her lyrics are often fun and unique. Just one of the best to do it. Glad she dropped a new tune with some other OG rappers.
La Luz - “Strange World”
Love their first album but have struggled to enjoy their follow on records as much. This year’s release sounds more my style with that reverb drenched surf guitar sound.
Fake Fruit - “Mucho Mistrust”
Another really cool new-ish band. Great album title too (this is the title track). I’m always happy to see references to Blondie.
